Tennessee-Illinois-South Carolina This is an elimination quiz for South Carolina, but the other two both got high wins originally. This is a really good quiz for so early in the morning and it didn't disappoint. All three teams started with a good amount of aggression and got an early question. After 4 questions, the score was 20-30-40. Cullen got three questions between five and ten and Tennessee began to take a lead. Despite having a lead, it was not a commanding one. As South Carolina's chair 3 (who is a quizzer I feel I should know the name of) also has three questions through ten, this is a very tight quiz. After 10 questions, the score was 70-60-60. Questions 11-15 included Mr. West throwing out two questions, and more of the same. Grant (TN) answered the question about what happened when he became a man, and Mr. West suggested the irony of a situation where the youngest quizzer in the quiz answers what happens when he became a man. After 15 questions, the score was 100-110-80. Question 16 Cullen (TN) quizzes out 120-110-80 Question 17 TN free, then IL Chair 3 130-120-70 Question 18 SC chair 3 gets it 130-120-90 Question 19 SC chair 3 gets up first and seems to have it right. However, he misses a 50/50, eliminating SC 130-140-80 Question 20 TN was far more concerned with the high win than Illinois was, and Ariana (TN) gets the final question, 150-140-80 South Carolina is the victim of a very tough draw. Because of the oddity of Colorado having a poor year last year, they faced Colorado and Wisconsin right off the bat. Then, they get a draw with Illinois and Tennessee. All four of those teams will challenge for a spot on Thursday and South Carolina had a chance to win each quiz on Question 19. A moment of silence for the first really good team that was eliminated in 2014!
