Quiz #23, 1:44 p.m., Pastor Scott Ohio - Indiana - Pennsylvania Indiana is back again in Pastor Scott's room, hoping to get another win. Their first quizzer is first off the lights in this quiz, scoring the first 20 points of the round. He gets the next initial right as well. On the next question though, seat 2 from Pennsylvania gets a three-verse quote toss-up correct. Then Pennsylvania's seat 1 gets the next toss-up right, tying the score. Unfortunately, IN now has 2 errors and needs to slow down to avoid gaining the third. After the time-out, IN wins the next two questions and doubles their lead over PA. Then Ohio picks up a toss-up, putting them on the board. On question 9, PA calls a time-out. IN is leading with 100 points, PA is next at 40, and Ohio isn't too far behind with 20. Following the time-out, Ohio ties the score with Pennsylvania. Indiana enters the error zone at question 11, but still maintains a rather strong lead over the other two teams. Now this is an interesting quiz: the largest team only has 3 quizzers. In a three team quiz, a team can get a middle with just 7 answers, so only 2 quizzers are required; however, this requires the utmost skill. These three teams need to have depth and dependability to be able to pull off the quiz, and they are demonstrating just that. Coming out of question 15, IN is leading with 150, PA has 90, and OH still has a good chance at 50. A couple of errors, toss-ups, and initials later, Ohio is beating Pennsylvania 90-70. PA calls another time-out before 18 repeated, and Indiana seat 1 answers correctly and quizzes out. They have secured the high, and are letting the other two fight it out. Going into question 20, OH and PA are tied at 90 points. On a quick non-reference question, PA #1 flies off her chair, but errors. OH waits and gets the toss-up correct. Final Score: High, Indiana with 160; Middle, Ohio with 110; Low, Pennsylvania with 80.
