Quiz 29 of the day. Last quiz of the day with Knapp Wisconsin vs Florida vs New York I cannot remember a fairer or just tournament with regards to officiating than this year's AACS tournament. This is a fun round personally for me, as this was the round our team was eliminated my senior year. Thus, it holds an nice, warm, icy place in my heart. If Wisconsin loses, New York, Florida, and Pennslyvania go to the finals, with Penn the only team with a loss. If Wisconsin survives, they all go. As for me, it doesn't matter who wins or loses, because I lose by having to drive home immediately after this and I have yet to get some Zaxby's on my trip. Hopefully that can be retified. Q1: Error for WI and NY gets the tossup. Q2: Error for NY and FL gets the tossup. Not to toot my home state's team or anything, but every team so far has either lost or almost lost except Florida, who just seems to keep everyone at arm's length. Q3: Second score for NY. Q4: Second error for NY, WI gets their second error on the tossup, and Florida, who only has three people on the team mind you, gets the free. NY gets the redo and they're looking strong in the final quiz so far. Q5: WI gets on the board with 20. Score after 5: WI 0, FL 30, NY 60 Q6: 20 more for NY on a quote and NY is on a roll to start. Q7: WI gets 20 more to overtake FL. Q8: FL fires back, and challenges the completion of FL's answer, and I think it could go either way, but Knapp overrules it, which is fair. If you're on the fence, just go with your initial opinion. Q9: First error for FL and NY gets the rebound Q10: 20 more for NY. They are on fire. Score after 10: WI 40, FL 50, NY 120. Q11: Another 20 for NY and it's probably time for a timeout by one of the other teams. NY clinches a loss-free travel to Thursday. Q12: Error for NY , their 3rd, and WI gets the rebound to overtake FL again. Q13: WI misses a direct reference and FL gets the rebound. WI is in the error zone. Q14: Yet another error and WI is sliding back with 4 errors. NY slides to 130 with their 4th error, and FL gets the free. NY calls timeout, up 50 on FL and 80 on WI. FL gets a guess on the redo to extend their lead of WI to 50. Q15: 5th error on WI and they're down to 40. Fortunately for WI, FL misses the tossup and NY gets the free. WI then gets the redo. Score after 15: WI 60 FL 100 NY 140 Q16: Error on FL, WI gets the tossup to close within 10 on Florida. BUT wait! FL challenges and its accepted, so the score is reset. FL then goes and misses the redo, WI misses also, NY gets the free, and then FL gets the second redo to take 60 point lead on WI with 4 questions to go. Q17: Error on WI, error on NY and FL gets the free. It's not officially over yet for WI, but they need 4 of 4 and tiebreaker to survive. WI gets the redo. Q18: FL ices it at 18 and WI is eliminated. FL and NY I assume now play for high-win and likely a first-round bye on Thursday. Q19: WI gets 20 for fun. Q20: FL gets the final question for the high and the probable bye. Final Score: WI 80 FL 160 NY 140 Grats to Wisconsin for playing solid all day; just too much at the end for them to handle, but they fought. As for final predictions, I'll avoid the homer pick and go with Pennslyvania to win 4 straight.
