CO vs FL vs NM


New Mexico, which I would consider to be the worst team left, has surprisingly avoided a loss all day, 
and it's not like their schedule has just been roses. 
Colorado
 could collapse here; I wouldn't be shocked, but New Mexico is due for a loss. 

It's not a knock on New Mexico at all; they're very good, but they're playing the 
best two teams of the day.


Q1: 20 for CO

Q2: Free question for FL, NM gets the redo.

Q3: 20 more for NM

Q4: 20 for CO

Q5: 20 for FL


Score after 5: CO 40 FL 30, NM 40


Q6:  Both FL and CO jump a millisecond too early on a quote and end up guessing wrong, giving NM the free. On the redo, 
CO gets the rebound after a FL miss.

Q7: 20 for FL off a CO miss. Error zone for CO.

Q8: 20 for CO

Q9: 20 for NM

Q10: Florida misses a marathon 3 verse quoter to give them their third foul. 
CO gets the rebound. 


Score after 10: CO 100 FL 50 NM 70

Q11: Another error for FL and for the first time all day, some adversity. 
Or maybe 
not. I only saw them once when they played Kansas and North Carolina, 
so they
might have had some issues at some point. 
But probably not against teams this 
good. 

Anyway, CO also misses and then there's a challenge, but I was typing when it 
was made so I didn't listen. 
It's overruled, as they all are. 
New Mexico gets the 
free and FL calls time out, down 40, still on question 11. 

Back from the timeout and FL jumps early again on a quote and guesses wrong. 
CO gets the rebound.


Q12: Error on CO, 20 for NM on the rebound. 
But wait! A challenge that actually 
works! CO challenges and it's accepted, throwing the question out.
 I'd give you
the details, but the fire alarm on the wall was blinking so I didn't hear it.

FL gets the much needed 20 on the redo to pull within 30 of NM.


Q13: Another 20 for FL after a miss by CO. 

Q14: 20 for CO.

Q15: 20 for FL to pull ahead of NM


Score after 15: CO 120 FL 90 NM 80


Q16: Another 20 for FL. New Mexico smartly calls timeout. 

Q17: NM needs a score but gets an error, and FL gets the rebound.
NM needs 3 of 3.

Q18: 20 for CO. Game. Ugh, and we still have 5 teams left. 
At least I got my
prediction right.


Final score: CO 160 FL 130 NM 90


Real good showing by Colorado to bounce back, which is something they haven't 
done too well in years past. 
Florida turned it on when it mattered, and that's why
they're the best team here. 
And yes, I'm biased.
