IL vs WI vs NY



After lunch status:


Eliminated last round: Indiana, South Carolina, New Jersey

Still in (in order of my personal rankings): Florida, Colorado, Wisconsin, New York, New Mexico, Illionis (sp?), Tennessee


Of the remaining teams, only Illionis has a loss. Florida is sitting out this round.


This round, to me, is Where Upsets Happen. 

Everybody's coming back from lunch and a long break, 
so your typical 
afternoon crash combined with the early 8:00 start and the full day of quizzing

the day before can add up to an upset, particularly with an error prone team
like New York, 
who I feel is right at the middle of the pack with these top
seven. 
I also half expect the quiz upstairs between CO, NM, and TN to end
 with a loss to Colorado, who has been high-winning all morning.
 They were 
slayed with an average of 7 errors per quiz in their last three quizzes at 
SCQANIT yesterday, 
and it all started on a return from lunch.


But whatever, that's the upstairs quiz. 
In Dr. Knapp's room, I give IL a good chance
 to survive this quiz.

Q8: NY gets an error for light flickerage, WI misses, and IL finally gets on the board with a free. 
NY gets the follow-up. Error zone for WI.

Timeout by NY.
Despite being dominated so far, IL is only 50 away from NY and 60 away from WI.

If IL gets a couple tossup questions, it would do wonders for their cause.

7 errors for WI, but it didn't matter because they were head and shoulders above
the other two. 
IL is out, but we'll still have two rooms next round.
