After some initial confusion about who was quizzing in what room, we finally have quiz 12 ready to start.
It will be Hillsdale from Fl against Va and Il.
fla is coming off of winning SCQANIT last night.Va has a new team representing for the 5 straight time.
I understand that Il has a team here for the first time as weill. After many years They managed to beat Schaumberg to earn a trip to Nationals.
Va erres Q1 and Il gets it to open the scoring.
Then Fla erres and Va gets it.
Then Fla erred again with Va also erroring with Il getting the free to take the lead.
A Finish is completed by Bobby to open Fla's scoring.
Bobby then gets Q4 and Q5 for three in a row and the lead.
Va timed out on Q6 and Ill gets the tossup.
Q7 goes to Bobby for his 4th but he timed out on Q8.
Ill gets the tossup but Bobby tries to pull an appeal which is accepted.
This erased Ill 20 points but also removes Bobby's error.
We'll redo Q8. this time Va errored and Ill got the tossup again. Quizmaster Zacharias made a mistake with the box and has to throw the question.
this removed teh error and took Ill's points off again.
On the third time on Q8 Bobby gets his 5th question.
Coming out of a timeout its Fla 100 Va 20 and Ill 50
Va times out on Q9 for an error and Il gets the tossup.
Va then quotes a verse for Q10
Grant from Va gets Q11 before we are interuptted to allow Tenn to go to a quiz that they were missing from.
Ill gets Q12 to pull within 10 of Fla. Fla has slowed down alot with Bobby having 5 questions.
On Q13 Va erred and Fl takes the tossup to pull away a little.
Il erres and Va takes the tossup and then takes Q15
Bobby takes Q 16 to quiz
Va calls a timeout withthe score Fla 140 Va 80 and Il 90
With 4 questions remaining theres a little strategy happening.
Va and Ill have to fight over the points while Fla will pick up any tossups.
Va errored on Q17 but Fl also errs.
Va wants to appeal but there answer was from the wrong chapter. So Va losses 10 points. and Il gets 10 on the free.
Q17 repeated is a finish 2 verse which Fl nails.
Q18 goes to Va to pull with 10 of the middle.
but they err on Q19 and Il gets the tossup to lock things up.
Va is going to try an appeal but is denied so this is over going into the 20th question
Q20 is a quote that Va errors on but neither Fl nor Il are willing to risk.
Q 20 again goes to Il
Final score is Fl 150 Va 70 and Il 140
