ScoreKeeper Interview with Elizabeth "Liz" Folger While waiting between quizzes, I got a few words with the scorekeeper, Elizabeth "Liz" Folger. As a Former Quizzer from South Carolina, we wanted to get a looks at where Quizzers can be in a few years. Liz is a Communications Major with a Minor in French studying at Bob Jones university. She has put in the extra work an hours to graduate early, she is a junior this year, but should finish and graduate this upcoming December. She did 4 years of Bible quizzing, 7th, 8th, 10th, and 12th grades in Highschool. Being very active in the School Newspaper, she almost didn't continue quizzing after her sophomore year, but did enjoy coming back her senior year. "I wasn't an exceptional quizzer... But I did enjoy quizzing. My Bible quiz team went with 0 losses my sophomore year" Having Quizzed at Athens, SCQANIT, and with other upstate South Carolina Quizzing, she was quick to recall Hebrews 11 as her favorite passage during her quizzing years. When asked for a closing though to pass on to the next generation of quizzer, Liz had this to say." I learned the importance of Memorizing scripture(through bible quizzing). I was good at memorizing, but I didn't faithfully memorize until I got in bible Quizzing. . . Take advantage of this time. I wasn't a better quizzer because I didn't spend the time I should have, and I still regret that I didn't put in more time memorizing. I am still very familiar with the passages, but can't quote as well as I should be able to. I wish I hadn't treated it so flippantly."
