NY seems to be going strong. Sam (NY) gets up on question 7 but runs out of time, so IN scoops up the rebound. IN stands up early on a quote and has to guess, and, amazingly, she guesses the right verse, but quotes it incorrectly. NY scoops it up on the rebound. IN gets up on 9 and misses, and again NY gets the rebound. NY’s patience is paying off! Mercy (NY) gets the initial on question ten, giving her a quiz out with 1 error. Way to go!
Score after 10: 0-140-60
Reid (IN) jumps on 11, and correctly answers it. NY and IN both miss on 12, but IN answer was reconsidered and given points. NY challenges, but is denied, and IN points stand. IN stands up on 13 and gets it right, but NY is up to the challenge and gets 14. It goes back to IN as Reid gets 15 correct
Score after 15: 0-160-140
NY misses the initial, and SC comes in with the rebound; NY appeals because the answer to the question was incorrect on the paper; NY is awarded their points. Reid quizzes out after correctly answering 17 (great job!), and NY comes back with a correct initial on 18, but an incorrect on 19. SC tries for the rebound, but is incorrect. IN gets their free correct after some debate: NY challenges on the free, but the points are still given to IN. IN stands up on the initial for question 19 repeated, but is incorrect. NY gets it right and also 20, finishing this quiz strong.
Final Score: SC:-10, NY:230, IN:160
This is SC second low, so they are out of this tournament, but we hope to see them next year!
