This is the start of Quiz 23.  We have teams from Florida, New York, and Indiana all competing to see who will advance to the next round of Bible Quizzing.  The Quiz Master, Mr. Zacharias, starts off the round with a word of prayer and thus begins the quizzing!  
Indiana jumps on the first question- incorrect.  Florida answers the toss-up – incorrect.  A free question was given to New York, and with a correct answer, the first points of Q 23 have been given out.  Already the teams are getting into the quiz, and by question 5, the scores are very close. Indiana- 30.  New York- 70.  Florida-20.  Unfortunately though 5 errors have been given out between the three teams.  The first time out has been called by FL.  Florida was close to a come back after the time out, however NY was just a little bit faster getting up to answer question 6 correctly.  Many questions have been answered incorrectly by FL and NY, and another free question is given to IN.  With this NY calls a time out.  We are still on question 8, and the score is IN- 50.  NY-80.  FL- 30.  We make it to Question 9, and FL correctly answers a quote the verse.  Quotes are becoming popular this round- this time IN jumps, however he answers incorrectly.  The scores are still staying in the same area.  IN- 30.  NY-90.  FL- 60.  FL calls their first time out, and immediately after NY is up with a challenge regarding the parables in Matthew 13.  An impressive challenge was presented, and the quiz master rules in favor of NY.  With this NY, moves up to 100.  The round seems to be picking up speed.  Without delay, we are on Question 15. IN-70 (Errors:7).  NY-120 (Errors: 5).  FL- 70 (Errors: 7).  By question 19, we have gone through so many questions that the quiz master has to “dip into the well.”  The room is tense knowing that these next moments will determine the results of this round.  We don’t get far before another question is challenged by Florida with hopes to make up some points. 
The game has ended and the score is IN- 100.  NY- 140.  Fl-90.  What a close quizzing match.  This was Florida’s first lost.  We will see who wins the next round.
