Wisconsin - Florida - Georgia

The second quiz of the day in Mr. Zacharias's room.  Florida is a team we expect to be in the finals.  The other two are not.

Sydney gets 3 of the first 5 questions and Larissa gets another one to jump out to an early lead.  As the defending champions, it sometimes causes a lapse in early effort, but Florida clearly is not falling into that trap.  An overruled appeal by Wisconsin sets the tone, and Florida established themselves as the clear favorite early.

The second set of 5 questions may as well have just been a repeat of the first five.  3 more for Sydney, one for Larissa, and one for Wisconsin.  The difference is Sydney has now quizzed out, and Wisconsin seems to be content to let Florida get way ahead and allow themselves to comfortably finish as the middle winner.

Now it is Larissa's turn to get questions and she gets 4 of the next 6.  Wisconsin is clearly the team in the middle but they are no threat for the Florida tandem.  Larissa completes the double quiz out (on a team with only two quizzers) and the match is well in hand and, in effect, decided.

The final three questions had an air of finality as only errors could change the outcome.  So Wisconsin grabbed three and did make an error to let Georgia get on the board.
