Running Commentary:
After Room 3 had a break for a round, we're back with TN-VA-NY. Without knowing enough about VA and having just seen TN in our last quiz, I feel fairly confident in saying that an appropriate pre-game prediction would be NY-High, VA-Middle, TN-Low. If this prediction holds, it would be TN's 2nd loss. But predictions are often wrong. Let's go!

Joe (2 correct) & Humility (3 correct), NY's only 2 quizzers, dominate the quiz's opening stanza, . TN:0 VA:0 NY:100.

As an aside, Nationals presents a unique challenge for good quizzers because the wording of some questions are so different than what is normal. Joe (NY) just jumped on the word "comprised" in the middle of a question. Usually, jumping on such a key work would guarantee getting the question correct. But here at AACS, the questions do not always employ words strictly used within the text. In other words, "comprised", as unique as it sounds, is not found anywhere in the text and proved to be completely unhelpful for Joe in determining what the question was asking. Virginia waited long enough on the rebound to get the tricky question about "what comprised the breastplate?"  NY keeps marching toward a perfect score (240 is all that 2 quizzers can score unless they add 10 point free questions, an unlikely event as TN is not even jumping.) TN:0 VA:20 NY:180

Humility (NY) snags her 6th correct and has quizzed out on Question 11. Chloe (VA) gets 3 in a row to stretch their lead to 80 over TN for the middle TN:0 VA:80 NY: 220.

Chloe (VA) gets her 4th in a row to seal the middle win for Virginia on Q 16. Joe completes the perfect score for NY, quizzing out on Q 17. Virginia does not appear to be quite at the level (especially in speed of jumping) as New York, but Chloe (who quizzed out on #20) has shown in this quiz that they have a leader and may be perfectly equipped to ride the middle deep into this tournament. They have just earned their third straight middle win to start the tournament. TN: 20 VA: 120 NY: 240
