While Matt did not officially found this website, it would not have survived without his countless contributions. For over 15 years, Matt produced and maintained the website, mostly content-driven through blog articles and later the biblequizzer.net podcast.

Matt's influence on Bible Quizzing cannot be understated. He was a hall of fame quizzer, major tournament winning coach, tournament director, and the "Walter Kronkite" of Bible Quizzing. As part of God's sovereign plan, Matt passed away in 2021. He was an exemplary Christian and perhaps the most vocal Bible Quizzing fan and advocate of his time.
