Dear Bible Quiz Leaders,
I would like to invite you to the 5th annual Wisconsin Invitational taking place this November 11-12 at the Mukwonago Baptist Church and Academy in Mukwonago, WI. We have had some good interest in this year’s tournament and hope that many teams will be able to come. We have taken II Corinthians 4:7 as the theme verse for this years tournament “But we have this treasure in earthen vessels, that the excellency of the power may be of God and not of us.” How amazing that God has chosen us as weak, brittle vessels to be the carriers of such a treasured message—so that He might receive the glory!
We are once again having a Friday evening and Saturday tournament. Sometimes it is difficult for some to come both days, so we have designed the tournament so that those that can only make it on Saturday can still participate and get a lot of good quizzing in (although you will get more quizzing in if you can make both days). We are providing a meal on Saturday for all of the quizzers and coaches and will have snacks and some refreshments available Friday evening and throughout most of the tournament. Spectators are welcome to partake of the refreshments and meals, although a donation would be appreciated. We hope that the quizzers have a great time quizzing but also enjoy fellowshipping and some ping-pong on the side.
This is a full text tournament over all of I and II Corinthians for both Division 1 and Division 2. It can be a challenge doing everything this early in the season, but it definitely gives you a jump start on the year. We generally follow the standard AACS rules and are looking forward to Mr. David Douglas being our head quiz master once again. For those coming from a distance, we will once again be live streaming the event. We would ask that everyone dress appropriately for the occasion—ladies please wear dresses or skirts that come well below the knee when sitting and have modest tops that come to or cover the collar bone. Please no tight clothing. Dress for Friday evening will be a little more casual than Saturday—but you are welcome to dress up on Friday if you would like.
The cost for the tournament is only $100 dollars per team if you register by November 1, with a $10 discount per team for multiple teams. Otherwise it is $120. There is no extra charge for the meal or refreshments. Please let us know if there is anything that we can do to help make this tournament possible for you. Attached is a flyer and registration form. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to ask.
We look forward to having you here!
